1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EventNest NZ ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

2. Description of Service

EventNest is a request-first marketplace platform that connects event organisers with verified vendors across New Zealand. The Platform facilitates:

• Event organisers posting event requests and requirements
• Vendors submitting competitive quotes
• Communication and booking between parties
• Reviews and ratings of vendors

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

3.2 Account Types

Event Organisers: Free account to post event requests and receive quotes
Vendors: Verified business accounts subject to our verification process

4. Use of Platform

4.1 Event Organisers

As an event organiser, you agree to:

• Provide accurate event details and requirements
• Respond to quotes and messages in good faith
• Not misuse the platform to collect vendor information for other purposes
• Leave honest reviews based on actual experiences

4.2 Vendors

As a vendor, you agree to:

• Maintain accurate business information and credentials
• Submit genuine, competitive quotes based on requirements
• Honor accepted quotes and bookings
• Provide quality services as described
• Maintain appropriate insurance and licenses
• Pay applicable platform fees (if any)

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Attempt to bypass platform fees or direct bookings off-platform to avoid obligations
• Scrape, copy, or collect user data without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Upload viruses or malicious code

6. Payments and Fees

6.1 Event Organisers

EventNest is 100% free for event organisers. There are no listing fees, subscription fees, or commissions on bookings.

6.2 Vendors

Vendor fees (if applicable) will be clearly communicated. Payment terms and billing are handled separately through vendor agreements.

6.3 Direct Transactions

All financial transactions for events occur directly between organisers and vendors. EventNest is not a party to these transactions and takes no commission.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

7.1 User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant EventNest a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

7.2 Platform Content

The Platform, including design, features, text, graphics, and software, is owned by EventNest and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8. Reviews and Ratings

Users may post reviews subject to these guidelines:

• Reviews must be based on genuine experiences
• No profanity, hate speech, or discriminatory language
• No disclosure of private or confidential information
• EventNest reserves the right to remove reviews that violate guidelines

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Platform "As Is"

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9.2 Third-Party Services

EventNest acts as a marketplace platform. We do not provide event services directly. We are not responsible for:

• Quality, safety, or legality of services provided
• Accuracy of vendor listings or quotes
• Disputes between organisers and vendors
• Cancellations, delays, or no-shows

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventNest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Verification and Screening

While we verify vendors, verification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Users should conduct their own due diligence before booking.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or other inappropriate conduct, without prior notice.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by New Zealand law. Users agree to attempt good-faith resolution before pursuing legal action.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
